It Has Been A Minute!!

Well we are still here and I have been meaning to blog but with the arrival of Miss. Charlee Adelle it has been a little crazy this last year! I would love to tell you that I was going to go back and re-do all the sweet Moments I missed but I'm not! :)

I will go back as I have time and redo the most important and special moments! We have been truly blessed and at times I sit back and wonder what I did to be so lucky.

On another note I decided a while back to start another blog to keep all my crafty endeavors and wild hairs at. I wanted to keep it separate from our family memories and mile stones. As you can tell by it my timing was not there when I started it. I failed at my fist task I blogged about. Second attempt and some serious commitment to myself I am determined to make it happen! Check it out and subscribe to it if you like. I can not promise what road that blog will take me down but feel free to check it out!

1st Grade!

I am so very very very proud of my little buddy today. Last year we keep him at First Baptist for Kindergarten and he had a lot of his friends that the had been to school with in the class with him and was very familiar with the school. He also had Will so there was no fear or anything about him going.

This year we moved and he started BIG school at a school he was not familiar with and did not know any of the kids at. I can go ahead and start this blog with the fact that there is not picture of Mommy and B cause Mommy couldn't stop crying this morning. From the moment we pulled out of the house I was fighting back tears. As soon as we pulled in the school drive they started flowing. We told B that we would pull over and park and walk him in this morning. He very quickly informed me that he did not need us to, we could just drop him off and he could walk in by his self. After talking to him and making sure that he remember where his room was we got to the front of the line and he flung the door open. I had to get out if the car, regardless of how much traffic there was behind us. Yes I, Emily Harris, was that MOTHER this morning that got out right there in line to KISS her son! He took off running to the door and never checked up! My heart had already dropped all the way to the pit of my stomach when he told us he wanted to walk in by his self! To see him run off like that shatter it all the way! I know I should be very very very glad he was not holding on to my leg and crying and asking me not to leave, but I just realized at that moment how big he had gotten and that my baby boy was growing up. Now I am not saying that some of it was not crazy hormonal pregnancy thing but either way it was a rough morning for Momma. Daddy on the other hand thought it was great and had a good laugh watching me sit in the car pool line drying my eyes with a glove that was in the glove box from the winter since we had not Kleenex in site!

Creek Bank Kids!

Yesterday afternoon Andy brought Will and Emma down to play in the creek on their last day of summer freedom!! The kids had so much fun. Andy brought down a canoe and the kids thought that was the best thing ever. After playing and swimming in the water for a while the got out and fished. Will caught the first fish out of the creek!! They had the best time and I look forward to many many many more fun times at the Harris Creek Bank!!

New Golf Club's!

Brady had out grown his previous set of clubs so Adam took him over to Edwin Watt's and had him measured. He fit right into the orange set. He is so proud of his new clubs- Can't you tell!! As soon as we got home with them he had Adam out in the back yard hitting old balls into the creek!

( again, keep in mind we are still moving in at this point so please ignore the furniture or should I say lack there of )

Cathedral Caverns

The weekend after we found out what we were having we made a little get away to Guntersville for the weekend. Adam's Mom and Dad, Brother and Sister-In-Law and our Nieces all went. We had a great time eating out and just laying by the pool. Sunday morning we were not ready to head back so we checked out Cathedral Caverns and were really glad we did. Here are a few pictures of the Cavern.

Opening to the cavern- all natural- Man had no effect on how big this opening is or the shape, it was all formed by floods and rushing waters.

GIRL!!!!!!!!

That is right!! B will be having a little sister. We do not have a name for her just yet, we have some names in mind, just nothing set in stone just yet! We had all of our familes come to the house to find out that night what we were having. We were trying to find a unique way to tell them and a way for everyone to have see what was going on. So we came up with this-

We have the funniest video but it is on Adam's phone I will have to try and get it off there and on here soon! It was so great to see everyone's reaction when they bit into the cupcake. I do not know how B did not spill his beans as soon as everone got there but he didn't!! Now as far as the actual ultrasound and how B reacted, Well there is a video of that too and really gives a better picture, but for the most part he said BOO stuck his thumb down and stuck his tounge out. I know that he will warm up to here once she gets here!

New House!!

Here are a few pictures of the new house. As you can see by the first picture of the living room we were in the process of having it all painted. The only room I took a picture of after it was painted was the bedroom. After we finish getting all decorated I will take new pictures and post them. We are really enjoying the house and never thought that we would have something like this. We feel so blessed! We love having people over and all the kids being able to go downstairs and play and make a mess and it not be a big deal!

ould love to tell you that we had a winning season but we had just the opposite. The teams we played were phenomenal and really had it together. Coach Geno was a great coach and we enjoying have him coach B this summer. The boys played hard in the hot hot hot Alabama summer sun but in the end we lost out at our sub-district tournament. At the end of the season we had a pool party for the kids at the Pleasant Grove pool and kids had a blast, so did all the dads!! Brady walked right up to the high dive and jumped right off it. There were grown mean that could not make their selves do this.

I know I have been a little slow keeping this up todate but we have been a little busy. I am fixing to make serveral post that I have been working on. Bare with me it has been a long summer. We wrapped up All-Stars, moved into our house, found out what we were having and today B started his new school! Here we go!!

Brady's Going To Be A BIG BROTHER!!

Yep!! That's right! Right now I am 8 weeks, will be 9 weeks next Wednesday. We have a due date of December 12, 2009. I have been extremely tired , a little nauseated and sick in the morning. I hear these are all really good signs!

We are so excited, we found out really really early on and were not going to tell anyone except Brady, our parents and Adam's Brother and Sister-In-Law. So we tell them all the night before our first doctor's appointment and the next day I got a call from Natalie that at school that Brady told Will he was going to be a big brother. Then Will told Emma and Emma and Will told Natalie and Andy it was Happy Baby day!! I know that he was so excited that he could not contain him self but he did not stop there. We went to see Madelyn and Lily play that night and when we walked up to our side of the bleachers he blurted out to some more of Adam's family and our Church family that his Mommy had a baby in her belly! So much for that. We decided that even though it was extremely early that we better start telling some people that we wanted to tell so that they didn't hear it through the grape vine since Brady was telling everyone he saw. Our first doctor's visit was on Thursday April 8th and Dr. Edwards just confirmed everything and said he wanted us back in two weeks to see the heart beat. He said we would not hear it until around 10-12 weeks. He said in most cases it is not strong enough. We went back for our second appointment on April 22 and took Brady so he could see his brother/sisters heart beat. The nurse did better than that, she zoomed in and we got to hear it!! It was so special and Brady's face lit up. The heart was beating at 140 bmp!! Please say a prayer for a safe and healthy pregnancy for us. Brady ask daily how big "his baby" is. It is the sweetest thing in the whole world. He can not wait to be a big brother and we can not wait to have another little one! Here is the first picture of our little Bean!!!

7 weeks and 1 day!

We think that it is quite funny that when we started talking about another baby one thing that we talked about is that we really didn't want another one around a major Holiday or close to Christmas. Brady's Birthday is always within days of Thanksgiving, November 25 is his Birthday, and it makes it hard for his parties and not to mention that exactly on month later is Christmas and we have always tried hard not to make a difference that his Birthday is so close to Christmas and defiantly not to ever combine his Birthday and Christmas presents. Well I knew that God would bless us with a new Baby in his time and in the plans that he had for us. We truly learned that he is in control! He does not care about dates and parties or any of the other stuff that we were worried about. We asked him to bless us and help us grow our family and he did! SO now, we have Brady's Birthday on November 25th, New Baby Bean due December 12th and Christmas the 25th! What a busy month but what a great Christmas Gift!

We had such a great time at the concert but this videos come with a disclaimer! Ok a couple of them :)
1. If I video taped them there is no guarntee that the camera will be still and that you won't get sick.
2. If you hear some one else singing in any of these videos from any night, then it was this strage lady and man that was sitting close by! :)

Houston Rodeo and Live Stock Show!!

WOW is all I can say. I am not sure how I pictured this event or what all I thought that it was going to be but I can promise it was 100 times more that I could have possibly imagined! I did not want to leave I LOVED IT! I just want to go and steal one of the horses and ride off on it. We spent 3 fun filled days at the actual rodeo and had the best host we could have. Thank you Aunt Donna and Uncle Charlie for showing us the ropes and for your GRACIOUS hospitality! I have a feeling that this will be a event that we make a tradition. The atmosphere of Cowboy boots, Cowboy hats, plaid shirts and denim makes you feel so at home. Or at least it made me feel that way! Not to mention all the wonderful food!

Sunday night was the BIG night for B. We just told him that we were going to the Rodeo, we did not mention the concert that followed. The JONAS BROTHERS!!!!!!!!! On the way into Reliant Park there were signs and T-shirts and child everywhere. We just knew that he was going to figure it out. Some magical way he did not. Mid way though that Rodeo after the announcer mentioned the concert to follow we just knew he would catch on, still nothing. He was too enthralled with the action the rodeo was providing. That was when Adam and I decided that it was time. I got the video camera ready and Adam told him. That big sweet smile made our night. I would be lying to you if I said that Adam and I were not equally as excited and I would be lying again if I told you that it was not a FANTASTIC concert. Demi Lovato was there special guest for the night and she great as well.

Monday my cousin Brain and his wife Stephanie and they precious darling little girls, Kylee and Kycee, joined us for the day. It was a rainy day and we spent the day doing all the indoor events. They had a kid’s agriculture area that was full of displays. Then Brady and Kylee did the kids Mutton bustin'. This was the cutest thing I have EVER seen. Both kids did a great job. Brady scored a 91 coming in 2nd and Kylee scored a 89 coming in 3rd. She deserved a award for being stepped on by the Mutton. (we later found the bruises as proof) After that we got a bite to eat and did some shopping. Adam got his first boot shine and my Uncle Charlie became a believer that they were really boots! LOL.

Tuesday we went back to do the carnival with Kylee, Kayla and Cade. What a day, bright suns shine and lots of Texas heat!! Adam decided to try his hand at electronic bull riding, don't worry I have video of that too!! That night Mom and Dad took Adam, B and I back to the Rodeo. It was just as good that night as it was Sunday. We watched the cowboy’s rope and ride then afterwards Darius Rucker (formally Hootie and the Blowfish) performed. He was AWESOME. He did a lot of Hootie stuff and some of his new stuff, a little Hank and a little David Allen Coe. Closing with “Purple Rain” by Prince. It was great!!

Also while Adam was gone I gained a ton of sleeping buddies! Brady insisted that his top furry friends get to sleep with us. I obliged, until he drifed away! I thought that it was so sweet!

While Adam was away slaying his deer, Brady and I got to go to 101 Dalimations on broadway with some good friends of our ( Abby, Brady's girlfirend's family). We had such a great time and the show was wonderful!!

Adam 10 Point!!

Matt and Adam went back down a couple of weeks after Christmas for a brother weekend. Adam and Matt are always talking trash to eah other about Adam going to Matt's and Adam killing the big buck and Matt will talk about going to the golf course and wearing Adam out . Well this year Adam went to Matt's and killed the big boy. Matt had watched this deer for a while and in on of his email's that I was forwarded with pictures from the game camera the statement was made that this was the #1 on his list. What a great brother he is to let Adam go down and take his prize! Adam get ready cause I am sure that Matt will be out for revenge on the golf course!

Christmas Day we left after lunch to go to Lamison with Matt, Kim and the girls for the rest of the weekend to hunt. We wanted to take B to a shooting house. Madelyn was ready to shoot her first deer and as you can see this girl proved it. We were not sitting very far from her and never heard the gun shot so when Matt pulled up to get us and tells us that Madelyn shot her first deer we did not believe him. He told us to look in the back and there he was! We were so proud of her and excited that we got to be there with her for this. She was so excited. The only thing that she did not take to kind to was when Matt tried to put just a little blood on her face!

We had a awesome Christmas this year. Wonderful programs at church and great family get together! This year our church's pastor, Bruce, started a new tradition ( or at least I hope it is a tradition) that we as a family can come and have communion on Christmas Eve. It was a very special to get to take communion on Christmas with all of our wonderful Family!

Here are a few photos from our Kids Christmas program. Brady and Will had their first solo, it was so stinking cute!!

Christmas morning came and went so fast!! This year B asked for a new bike since he has already grown out of his he got for his Birthday last year. Adam said that we should get him one that he can grow with and have for several years. So that is the one that he got. He was so EXCITED about it!! He got a Lego table for all his lego he got and some other miscellaneous items. Our parents got us some new shoes and clothes and lots of great surprises. We are so blessed to have such wonderful parents. We got my parents a wireless out door speaker from Brookstone for the River. They were so excited. All the kids surprised Karen with a new digital camera! We had to get her up to speed and away from the click and roll cameras. She has gotten the hang of it and really seems to be enjoying it. Here are some pictures of Christmas morning. I still have some to pull off my camera. I will have to share those once I empty my camera.

Brady's 6th Birthday

We had B's 6th Birthday at Tannehill on a Sunday afternoon. My sweet Uncle Gary wanted to do the meat for his party and he did a great job. Everyone keep going on and on about it. It was so yummy and we were so appreciative of it! We a bad weather but we went on with the party and the kids had a great time. He got Rock Band from us and lots and lots of other special presents. You will see the black and white houndstooth package that he his opening, that would be the Tony Hawk Wii skateboard game that 3 very special people got him! He has not stopped playing this yet. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends to share this day with.

I have to tell the sweetest story.

The Friday before his party he had spent some time with Sissy, Will and Emma. Sissy asked him what he wanted for his Birthday and he told he some canvasses and paint so that he could paint a picture. Sissy got him that and some paint brushes. When he opened them the smile on his face was priceless. He could not get to Sissy fast enough.

Long Time No Post!

I know that I have been a terrible blogger. I will try and give you a short run down of what we have been up to and then do just a few short photo post. Our house sold and we had to be out mid November. We moved in my Mom and Dads upstairs for now until we find our house and get moved in. Say a prayer we have found a house that was for sale by owner and love the house. We have put a offer on the house and it was accepted but the other family has to find there house. They are hoping to be out by May. Please keep your finger crossed for us!

Right after we sold our house our little man had his 6th Birthday. He wanted to go back to Tannehill again this year. It was a little rainy that day but it did not stop the kids from having a GREAT time.

Then we had Christmas! We had a awesome Christmas and Santa was good to all of us. We left Christmas night going to Lamson to hunt with my Bother-In-Law. We all went and had a great time. My niece, Madelyn, shot her first deer. It was great and I am so thankful that we were able to be there with her.

In January Adam went back with Matt and took Matt's baby he had been watching all year! He killed a 10-point that Matt had seen on his game camera couple of times. Adam was so excited!! I know Matt was excited for him to, but I am sure Matt would have been just as excited if Adam had left it for him :) What a great Big Brother!!

We didn't really do anything in February spent lots of time with our friends on the weekends just hanging out.

We just got home from our BIG trip to Texas I will do a separate post for that last. Hope everyone has had a great first half of the year!! We are gearing up for ball season now. We are the RED SOX this year, we are completely excited about our team this year.

With the chance of jinxing us I am going to finally make this post. I am also making this post to ask that everyone please please continue to saw prayers with us. This whole process is the doings of GOD and his awesomeness!! Please continue to ask that the process will continue to be smooth and with NO kinks.

We put the house up on the market around the middle of September. Aubrey called me on Thursday September, 24 to tell me that we had a young couple coming to look at the house on Saturday at 2:30. Saturday came the house showed and then it was just a waiting game. Sunday morning we walk into church and Mike tells me that the house showed great and that the couple wanted to go home and talk about it and they would be getting back in touch with Lisa to talk about putting a contract on it. I was in total shock at this point. After church we had deiced to go to the store and get hotdogs to grill before going to Madelyn's game . One the way to the store Mike called to say that we had the same couple coming back at 1:30 to look at it again. So we rushed home picked up and made sure it was presentable. At the end of Madelyn's game Aubrey got a call the there had been a contract placed on our house.

We went to ride 4-wheelers and dirt bike's at Mike's the rest of the afternoon so Aubrey just meet us down there. The offer was great and we agreed to the contract. We are now just waiting for the rest of the process to happen. We are so anxious.

Today I got this email from Aubrey titled " Doesn't this look pretty!" It SO does!!! Just wanted to share this wonderful picture with everyone!!

Our Very Own SNAGGLE TOOTH!!!

Sometime back B was complaining with a tooth hurting and Adam and I were like great a 5 year old with a tooth ache. Then it dawned on both of us that he was old enough to have a loose tooth. Sure enough it was loose.

This weekend it became much looser and I knew it would not make it though the week. Monday B must have sat with his finger in his mouth all day and worked it. When he came home Monday and showed me how loose it was I just asked him to wait till his Daddy got home. A few minutes later we were sitting on the couch together and he jumped with a bloody mouth and yelled" IT JUST FELL OUT!!!" He was jumping up and down and shaking and screaming and doing this goofy giggle that I have never heard before, Adam walked in the door 1 minute to late. He continued his goofy laugh and jumping for several minutes. He was so excited. I have never seen a kid so excited about loosing a tooth.

Striaght from Brady!

In the last week Adam and I have had two of the sweetest conversations that a parent could ever have with a child and I just wanted to write them down a) to have later to look back on and b) to share with everyone.

Last week we were in the car driving past the park and something sparked in B's little mind about his past turtle Wally. He asked if Wally was in heaven. I said "yes". I know some people might think this is silly and that I have just told my child a fib, but the bible tells us that every animal will be represented. Then he said " I want to see him" I said " we will all see him one day when we get to Heaven" He said " Can you take me with you" I said " where?" thinking I had missed something and not quite ready for his response , he said " to HEAVEN!" I said " of course I am taking you with me. You know one way to make sure that you get into Heaven?" He asked " how?" and Adam and I talked with him for several minutes about asking Christ into his heart and what it meant to do this. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that your child WANTS to hear God's word and that we have the freedom to tell him ALL about it!!!

For this next story go ahead and grab a tissue.........

Last night Adam and I were standing in the kitchen talking about our days and laughing at the fact that later in the evening we were going to get to play "Toothfairy" ( blog to follow). I was preparing something to take to our Ladies Ministry Meeting and Adam told B to go and get shoes on that they were going to be leaving for Uncle Matt's shortly. He came flying through the kitchen with a jingle in his pocket ( when I got him from my mom that afternoon she mention that she thought he had taken some money out of his piggy bank and taken it to school). I stopped him and told him that I thought he had taken money out of his piggy bank and taken it to school and that he didn't need to be taking money to school and especially a cargo pocket full.

He looked up at Adam and I and said " Momma I didn't mean to, I was going to put it in my Foundry thing" Adam and I looked at each other like - oh crap we were getting on to him and they must be doing something for the Foundry ( homeless shelter) at school- I finally asked" what Foundry thing baby?" He said " You know this one in here Mommy"

At that moment Adam and I both realized what he was talking about...His Alabaster Box!

He took us into his room and he stood there and emptied his pockets and put all of his precious money into his Alabaster box. We have talked about this in church for several weeks but we had not received a box yet. Natalie had sent one home Sunday and to be completely honest I knew we had to fill it up but had not put anything in the box yet. All I could do was walk out of the room and cry. If we all only had faith like a child!!

These are just some things that I wanted to share about how precious these children are and what a impression we have one them!!! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful week !! Love to all!!

HOUSE FOR SALE!!!

Adam and I finally made the decision to put the house on the market. We figure now is as good a time as ever. We would love to see our family grow but maybe not in this house. This house has been a great HOME for us and I will always LOVE it. We both have learned how to do a lot of repairs and remodeling in this house. I know that I have been a terrible blogger. I promise from this point on that I will be a better blogger. Just to give every one a little update on what we have been doing and what is going on with us we have had a great summer. Lots of river time and 2 great beach trips with each of our families. B started K-5 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church his new teacher is Mrs. Teal and he loves her dearly! Each week they have a bible verse that they have to say. This week was " All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God" Roman 3:23. He said it Friday to his teacher and was so proud of himself. He is getting to big! Our newest addition to the family, Ryver the Lab, is still GROWING and EATING all the time. My Dad swear every time he sees her she has grown another foot. I doubt it is at that rate or I would have the next Clifford for a pet! Adam and I are the same just work work and more work. I promise from here on out i will make it more of a habit to update more often.

Update to the Lugnuts Game!

How much damage would you think a squirrel could do to power lines? A ton apparently. Last night the game was cancelled due to the fact that a squirrel chewed through the power lines at the field and fryed him self to the lines. He did more damage than the power company thought that he could do and when they got there they could not get it fixed in time for us to play that night. So the game has been rescheduled for Thursday at 6 and 7:30 and if we do not win both games we will play again Friday night with the closing ceremony's to follow. Please come out and support our little Lugnuts if you can. It will be the cutest thing you will see all week.

Please me the newest member to our little Family...Elrod's Chocolate Ryver Bend ( RYVER) is what we will call her. I know that his is not what some of you were thinking when you read the title hate to disappoint anyone but if it is any consolation she is a lot like a baby! She is so wonderful and we love her very much. She is the smartest dog ( we have a beagle and I mean no disrespect to him I love him dearly but...she is smart!) she is totally and completely lazy and we love it. We have taken her every where that we can since we have gotten her. She is very playful and loves to follow Brady around and he loves her very much too! Here are a few pictures that I have of her. I will post more later when we are able to get out side with out rain and take a few.

She came from a Wonderful home with great people who took excellent care of our little girl before we got her. Just to show you where she came from here are there pictures right after they were born ( on my Birthday April 3!) One of the Pictures is of a little Chocolate Lab that I am just persistent about that was Ryver, I know that it is almost impossible to tell but I am still saying it is her.

Tonight our little league ball team starts there best two out of three for the league championship ( I know, two out of three for 5 and 6 year olds? I was asking the same question!)The boys have done such a awesome job and come such a long ways since the beginning of the year. We are so excited about the game tonight. I just wanted to share this exciting news. If we do not win both games tonight we will have to play again on Thursday night. I can not believe that the season is already over. I will post the results with some pictures later. If anyone wants to come out and watch it will be at 6 and 7:30. The games really are a lot of fun!!

I had to post this separate so that I could explain the look on the kids face that we don't see very often. It is them watching some other REALLY REALLY TERRIBLE kids do things that they know they would be getting in trouble for. I was so excited that ours did not jump in and join. But again I am telling you these kids were TERRIBLE!! Brady, Will and Emma really did not even play they just kept staring at the other kids I thought it was the funniest thing!

Zoo Trip

This year our zoo trip fell on my Birthday. It was a great day and we had lots of fun. It was just in time for me to test my new lenses out that my sweet sweet sweet Hubby gave me for my Birthday. It was a little colder than we expected but it was a GREAT day!! I took so many pictures that I had to share them this way. I do not care how many times we go to the zoo I get so excited every time we go!!

My Mom and Dad got a Wii for Christmas too and every time we go over there B things that we should all sit around and play it. I am sorry that I can not give the whole visual with this story but my Wonderful Husband gave me a great new lens for my camera and I was not able to zoom it out enough to get his whole body. Still this is pretty funny. Adam has decided that the game will respond better if he is on his knees like B is when he boxes. These are some funny pictures of Adam boxing. So Adam has always had a obsession with a great steak and how to get the steak to look and taste the way it does at the best steak houses around. Well he googled it enough till he found this "trick" and now he is the NEW grill master. I do have to say it is so yummy when he grills us a steak but to help with his obsession he got a new grill from his mom and dad for Christmas and my parents brought him his own BRANDER, yes I said Brander, back from Rodeo in Houston. This topped off his grilling tools ( brother and sister in law set him up with some NICE grilling tools). Here are the results of his obsession. I knew that when we got involved in ball that it would be something that we could all as a Family be involved in...And I mean our entire Family. I am not sure that the ball park was prepared for us. Our First game we took up one whole section of the bleachers and then covered every roll on the field from Coach's to book keeper to the announcer. We have Adam and Andy as Coach's Doug keeping the book, my Dad on third base and Mike in the press box being our scoreboard keeper/announcer. I love it!! We are so excited about this year and our run with this. Here are some pictures from opening day. What a great day it was. We did lose our first game but we came back and won our second game.

When we registered Brady for ball I knew that our lives were about to change but wow!! I keep using to phrase that we have no life and I don't mean it that way. I have to stop using it that way. We have a life it is just at the ball park. I have to say, I think that Adam or as he is known now " Coach" is loving it. I do too. The kids are great and they have Adams heart. We are very lucky that again we are all doing this as a Family!! We have Nat and Andy doing this with us and so the whole family is there at Practice and I can not wait to take a group picture of our cheering section at our First game on Saturday!! This Friday night is Adam's debut. He is playing ball in a dress. Please come out and support this wonderful event if you can. It is going to be a fund raiser for the ball park. For those of you that can not be here I will post lots and lots of pictures after the game. I hope that every one had a great weekend. We had a busy one but a WONDERFUL one. We had lots of great grilled foods and spent lots of time with Friends and Family.

Last night we got to see Jason Crabb at church and it was so wonderful to have such a awesome worship service to praise God for all the wonderful blessing he has working on in our lives. I know that I speak for Adam and I both when I say that the blessing that were received from that service last night was just what we needed. It is so amazing to know that God has our lives in his hands and all the details planned out. He doesn't promise it to be easy but he did promise that he would be right by our sides as we make the journey. I know that means more to me than anything!! When they start mentioning snow around here I usually just blow it off because the chances of it normally happening are slim. This time I vowed to myself not to watch the news, not to look at the Internet and to just blow it off. I went to bed last night with a small hope that we would have some this morning. But when I woke up I did not think that we would see what we saw. It was just absolutely beautiful!! My lazy family was so hard to get up. I spend 10 minutes jumping in the bed to get them up. I finally had to give this up when the muscles in my bum were sore and my legs began to burn and I realized that I was fixing to come crashing down on top of him and there was a great chance that I was going to tick him off royally if that happened. Here are a pictures that we took. I knew that was going to happen but about the time that we got to my moms and headed out to play, my camera died! Just my luck. Hope every one enjoyed playing today with your family. I love days like this that give me a reason to spend the whole day bumming around with my family!!

A very Speacial Christmas Gift

This year Uncle Matt did something very sweet and special for Brady at Christmas. When Matt was little Mee-Maw Hilda gave him a old sewing box that she bought at a auction and he kept all of his important memorable in it. Well this year he went up into Doug and Karen's attic and got it down, cleaned it out and fixed it up for Brady. But that was not it, he also started a collection for B. A knife collection and he gave him one to put up and also included one of his old knifes for him to have. This was very special. Brady is very lucky to have a Uncle like Matt.

I know that this post are coming completely out of order but to be honest I am just now getting around to getting the pictures off my camera.

This are from Christmas morning. He is such a sleepy head. We ALWAYS have to wake him up. He was still so excited this year and you can tell by some of the pictures!

He is such a sleeper. We have to drag him out of the bed!

Still talking about the Ipod Adam talking Santa into our Nieces. Mallory Jane's First Christmas B got a scooter, We thought that they would be big enough for them this year but I think that we might have under estimated that. We made him put his 4 wheeler helmet to ride it. But notice them no shoes. ( before I get flooded with email, Yes I know the child had no shoes on, yes as soon as I realized this I had him put shoes on) See he put shoes on! But this was the only way that he could right it was if Adam walked right beside him. It was way to fast for him. This was such a cute picture I just wanted to share it.

Here are a few random pictures that we have from Christmas. One Sunday we made sure that the kids were all dressed nice and had our picture made at church. They turned out really good. There are a few of some of our decorations that we had this year. The out side of the house looked really cute and we worked really hard on it, we wanted to Holiday Award but ... we got MULED on that one!! Our house was way cutter than any other house they put an award in the yard for but obviously we don't know the right people!! Oh and to top it all off I did not take any pictures to back up how stinking cute it truly was!

This year for moms Birthday she wanted to go eat and spend time with us, so she took us to Desoto Caverns. I know it is suppose to be the other way around but she insisted. We had a really good time and did not realize that there was that much stuff to do up there. I think my mom really enjoyed it too. I hope that she had a great Birthday. This year Madelyn wanted to be in the pageant again. Last year was her first year and she did exceptionally well. This year she did another fantastic job and Won her grade. Here are some pictures of her getting her make up done and with all of us afterwards. We are so proud of her and Love her very much!! I also want to note that our little Lilly bug was also in the pageant and she was BEAUTIFUL. Her sweet momma put her in her in a eye popping lime green and pink dress. Back at the end of the summer we spent a day at Tannehill State park with Nat, Andy, Will and Emma. We had a great time and dreamed about one day being about to have a small travel trailer of our own to be able to go for weekends at a time. Camping is such a wonderful way to spend with your family. We really love getting to opportunity to so this with out family. This pictures were to cute not to show. I know that this is really late but I was at moms and was looking through her pictures and I found these... It is not like me to not have my Camera but Halloween night I did not. We had a wonderful party at Natalie and Andy's and had a blast setting up for it and getting ready. It has turned into a big deal to dress up and try to be as original as possible. Adam and I really thought about it this year and came up with a good one...Richard Simmons and the big over zealous workout lady behind him! These were to good to pass up! Adam was a hit and I couldn't look at him without laughing!!

To Cute Not To Share!!

I just had to share this today. For Christmas Mom bought me a monogramming machine and I have been learning the machine and thinking about all the really cute things that I can make. I thought that some pillow cases would be really cute. So I made one for Emma last night. I probably shouldn't post this in case Natalie reads this because I wanted it to be a surprise but...I am so stinking excited about it I just can't wait.

I have some other stuff that I have done like burp cloths, T-shirts with the applique initial and the name through them and boys pillow cases. I just do not have the pictures here to load. I hope that every one is having a great day.

Just a little update!

I know that it has been forever and I just wanted to post a little update. I do not know if I have really had a chance to tell everyone but I got a new job and I just LOVE IT!! I am working for Ryder but we work at Amico. Ryder goes in and takes over their Truck and Logistics Department and this is a new start up for Ryder. I really prayed that god would place me where he wanted me and that I would know where that was too! And he did. I have never worked in such and enjoyable place. I work for great people and love what I am doing. This first month has been hectic and filled with long hours but it is all worth it.

Onto the Sweetest family...Adam finished my room and it is awesome. I am just trying to get it all organized so that I can start monogramming. I have been playing around with it and have bought some really cute fonts. I will post some pictures tonight of some of the things that I have done!

Now about the cutest kid I know... Since the day he was born I feel like this sweet baby has been counting down to the age of 5 so that he could play ball. Well it is here. We registered him the first week of February and Adam signed up to be the coach. Andy signed Will up as well and Andy will be helping him coach this year. Brady is so excited!! We have been to Academy and made our first, of many I am sure, baseball purchases. His other thing right now is saving money for a Go-Kart. Not a big one, Razor makes one and the controls are on the steering wheel. I told him that if he could save $200 that I would pay the rest. To be honest I really did not think the little Turkey would save. I figured that as soon as he had money in his hand it would be gone on a Wii game. So my lesson this time was ...... NEVER UNDER ESTIMATE A 5 YEAR OLD!! Right now at a month and a half into this he has right at $75 dollars. I am very proud of him and I think that this is a great lesson. He will be so proud of him self when he gets it. Kids are so wonderful and truly a blessing!!

Now back to Adam, when we signed B up and Adam filled out his coaching forms after he turned them in they looked at him and said " oh by the way, We are having a fund raiser the night before opening day and all the coaches are playing a softball game." and Adam said " oh OK, Great" then the wonderful man registering us looks up and says " In a dress" then I can not remember what was said I just know that there was a lot of laughter between Natalie and I because we had a flash back of all the times that My Sweet Husband has wound up in a dress! Countless times at Church for a thing called Night of the Stars and any time they need a guy to wear a dress Adam became the "go to guy". This is a situation that I can not understand how he continues to get himself into!! Please come out if you can and support our ball park at this event and enjoy the humor! It will be on Friday March 27th.

Last but not least I have A very special prayer request. I have a good friend of mine from High School that very recently lost a baby to Triploidy. I can not imagine her and her husbands pain and I have a very heavy heart for them. They have been on my mind a lot and I continue to pray for their healing and understanding of this whole situation. I know that god has them wrapped in his arms and is showing them wonderful things can come out of the most traumatic experiences. Their faith and strength through this whole things is so amazing. Really shows that God was in complete control!! Please say a prayer for them and their entire family as they deal with their lose!

Bob Villa's Spirt has taken over my Husbands body!!

Holy Cow!! My very sweet incredibly wonderful husband has been working his hinny off of on my sowing room. I originally got the idea for one righ tbefore christmas when I realized that I was forsure getting a mongramming machine from my mom. I needed a place to put it out and leave it and be able to work. So I asked my mother in law for money for christmas to make it happen. ( she also gave me a wonderful crafting device- a Cricuit) So Adam has made it is project to get it done and he is doing a Heck of a job!! I did not know that he was this much of a handy man... maybe he shouldn't of let me know. I am so excited I can not wait to have it finished and be able to work in it. We are almost finished with what use to be just a laundry room. I will post pictures as soon as we are done.

So with that being said.... I was not able to get as caught up on the pictures as I hoped. I am going ot try and post a few from the beach now and then tomorrow work on the Savannah pictures. Then we might just have to call it quits on the old ones and start fresh. This thing really pisses me off the way it wants you do download pitures.

This summer we took B to see some of our Friends and Favorite band Whiskey Falls! He had so much fun. He loves these guys. The bad thing is, it was nap time!! So some how even being in front of the massive set of speakers they had set up, he feel asleep!! Lucky we were able to go back stage with them where they did a private show for some winners that had won a drawing. So he did get to see them!

First of all I would like to wish everyone a Happy New year! I hope that everyone has a great New Years Eve!! I am so sorry that I am such a terrible blogger. So much has been going on. I am not even sure what the last thing that I blogged on is! TERRIBLE I know !! This weekend I will work on starting from that point and posting pictures and small notes about each function!! I hope that everyone had a Very Very merry Christmas!! We had a great on and B was so much fun this year. We thought that last year was fun but this was the best so far!! He was very specific with the things that he wanted. He asked for a Wii and cookie cutters a 101 to be exact! He got both and every since then he thinks that if he is awake the Wii should be on and someone should be playing it. Adam has finally recovered from his surgery and gained all of his energy back. It was really rough for him but I know that he is glad he had it done now. Just wanted to let you guys know that we are alive and I will post all kinds of new pics this weekend!! My Cousin Brian and his wife Stefanie had a new baby this May. She is beautiful and we got to meet her on Friday. I was so excited about this. We are very close to them but unfortunately we were not able to meet Kylie ( there first daughter) till she was a year old when they came to stay with us for a week. Just wanted to share some great photos with you guys off all of our wonderful family in Texas. I know that it has been a little while since I have u[dated so I will try to catch you up! We are done traveling for a little while..not long but a nice break! We got home from Texas and headed straight to the beach and we had a wonderful time all the Harris Family. It was such a great time and this marked miss. Mallory Jane's first beach trip!! It was special and we were so glad to get to spend time with both or our Beautiful nieces! We ate lots of great food ( and I mean LOTS) and went a really cool Dolphin Cruise. I will make several post of just pictures after this.

We are back in the swing of things now, Brady has stared K-4 and I have started teaching at his school, K-2. I know, I am a little off my rocker, and that is not the best part, I have 12 of them! 8 boys and 4 girls! It is a challenge but a ton of fun!! We are home for a couple of weeks with lots of things packed into it, this weekend we have our best friends Sarah and Kevin's Bachelor and Bachelorette party's and then next weekend Matt and Adam are taking Kim and I to see Ron White for a late Anniversary type thing. We are excited about both. Then that Wednesday we are off to Savannah, GA ( we are actually staying on Tybee Island) with my wonderful family from Texas. We are going to see my cousin Michael get married! We are really looking forward to it cause it is somewhere that Adam nor I have ever been. Well that is all for now and I will post lots of pic now!!

What a wonderful time we have had!! Spending time with the Sigler Family is always a great time!! We may not live close by but we are all so close!! Friday Stef brought up the girls and we got to see Kaycee for the first time. She is such a doll !! We played the rest of the day waiting on Uncle Charlie, Aunt Donna and Lauren. We had a late night and began our day all over again Saturday when and Uncle Willie and Aunt Laurie came in, we are just 13 people shy of us all being here... I know that sounds like a lot but, this is as close as it has been in a while! Saturday we all sat outside and did nothing all day. Just enjoyed each other and let the kids play. Saturday night we ate Maw-Maw's famous lasagna and all sat around the table and talked till late. You know all we do is wake up eat, talk a little bit eat, hang out a little while, EAT!! and the to top it all off... EAT dessert!! I swear I think that I have gained 15 pounds since I have been out here.

Today was my Paw Paw's 85th Birthday and we had such a special day!!! We all got up and went to church with him and come home and had a special birthday lunch and Birthday cake. We have been so grateful to have such a great christian influence in our all our lives for all of these years. My granddad is a man of such integrity and has had such a positive influence on so many peoples lives. He is such an example to live up to!! Happy Birthday Paw-Paw!! I LOVE YOU!!

So we made it !! Whew... I was a really long drive, especially with all the rain that we had to come through because of Dolly. But we are here. There is something about being at this house... As soon as we walked in I knew that everything would be exactly the same as it was the last time we were here. Smell and all. There is something about this house to me. No it is not big and is not fancy at ALL, but it is a house with a lot of love in it. My grandparents have been married 65 years I believe if not longer and they still wait hand and foot on each other and I have never heard the other say a harsh word about the other or raise their voice at each other or at anyone else!! They raised 5 kids in this house and helped with 9 grand kids and so far 5 great grand kids.. So can you imagine how many memories that we have in this house!! I am truly blessed to have such a awesome family and be able to spend this time with them. Now that I know that I have Internet access from here hopefully tomorrow I will be able to post some pictures of everyone together!!

So here is the deal... We take a family vacation with Adam's family every year and we all have been super excited about ours this year for various reasons but one being we have a new little member. Mallory Jane. Well that week starts Sunday. In the mean time my Mom and Dad inform me about a surprise birthday party in Texas for my Paw-Paw who will be 85. Well anytime that I can go see my family I am there..... Texas and My family there has always had a special place in my heart. Something about being there with everyone cramped in my Granny's little house with two bathrooms! It is the warmest feeling that ever is! So naturally I agreed to go with my Mom and Dad too. Well, they are leaving tomorrow... that is right tomorrow and we will drive straight through and then we will be there till Monday when we make the return trip. I will be back home on Monday night to sleep and catch my breath and then we are off again on Tuesday to the beach till Sunday.. I know, I know.. I am a little Crazy. But I couldn't turn down a chance to see my family. Everyone will be there... Well almost I think that we will be 3 or 4 Grand kids and Adam short of having us all there. But I am seriously thinking what am I going to do for 12 hours tomorrow and then another 12 hours on Monday. Then 5 to the beach. I don't think there are enough movies and magazine's to keep me occupied. So if anyone has any good suggestions on a good book please let me know.

Our last trip to Texas was pretty great. We flew out there Thanksgiving morning.. we were there in time for Breakfeast. It was so nice to hop on a plane and be off it in a hour and half. We did have one good adventure then. I was searched and treated like a terrorist! My drivers liscence was expired. It was SO IMBARSSING!! I mean they had this guard walk to through this special area with everyone staring and then put my in the clear box, pull all my personal stuff out of my bags and all in the middle of the airport, then I had to step aside to a special area to have special test done. This whole time the entire airport staring cause they are so loud and use code words when they are talking! TERRIBLE!! Maybe this time we can get there with out any adventures like that! A few weeks ago I was cleaning and doing some things while B ate lunch.. and yes I know that he was still in his PJ's at lunch. It was one of those days. But anyways, when I came back in the room this is where I found him. I was to cute not to share!

Ok so this is my first blog and I have been meaning to do this for a while. I think that this will be the easiest way to keep our family and friends up to date on what is going on with us. There are a few things that you must know before I get started. I am a TERRIBLE speller. And according to Adam I have a really bad habit of using words in the wrong context. My friends just say that is a very typical " Emily" move. So just notice them and laugh. If you feel it necessary to point them out... Have at it. I will do my best to find the time to go back and correct.

So just to get you all caught up on the last five years of out lives... We are still in ole' PG in our little Hacienda. We love our house but we are wanting to put Brady in a different school system when he starts K-5. Not sure where that is yet. We have worked really hard on our house to make it our and what we want. We could not have done any of this with out the help from our parents, family and friends though.

Adam is working for a great company called Southwood Forest Products selling lumber. No he is not a lumber jack. I know that I shouldn't have had to tell you this but you would be surprised how many people have asked me this when I have told them that my husband sells lumber for a living... I did not say that he cut it down... I said he sold it!! : )

Brady is 4 now and will be 5 on November the 25. He is getting so big and has such a awesome personality. This site will help keep keep everyone up to date on how big he is getting and the funny things he says on a daily basis. Right now he is into the Jonas Brothers and thinks that we should let him have a mo hawk... What I am going to do with him when he is 16 if he thinks at the age of 4 he needs a "cool" hair cut. Also he is on us about getting him so " cool cloths" ... or so he calls it. He is wanting cloths and shoes ( Converse) like the Joans Brothers. Give me a break... I do not think that I was this way when I was four. We just started him in swim lessons this summer and he is doing AWESOME!! We are all so very very proud of him. He went straight to the Sharks which is the advanced group. He is the smallest one in the group and it made me completely nervous not to be in the water with him but he is doing great and really holding his own. He is still into balls... especially baseballs...I would be willing to bet that we have about 200 of them. And I do have to say that the kid has a heck of a arm on him. This past winter we introduced him to hunting... he has always know about it, but he went on his first hunt and boy oh boy am i gonna have my hands full. Everything was deer this and deer that and "gonna shot this one if it comes in my field" He loves to hunt, fish and play ball. He is a true Alabama Boy!! We are so proud of him and the little boy that he is. I hope that with this site I can do a better job of keeping everyone up to date on him and the things that we all have going on!! More later!
